Learn How to Use This

Instructions: Use this page to complete your annual review of the previous year. To do so, you need to complete the followings steps (if you are new to Notion, just duplicate this page and you can then start editing it)...

STEP 1️⃣: Complete an audit of last year across the domains that are important to you (i.e. Professional Brand, Health, and Productivity) in Part 1. Of course, there are other domains that are important in life (like Family, Finances, and Spirituality), but I do find it’s easiest to focus on the 3 most important domains for where you are in your life, especially where you can easily pull key data and insights.

STEP 2️⃣: Collect the following three key pieces of information and plug it in below each of the domains. Feel free to grab screenshots, write out the info, combo of both...whatever works best for you. This is a personal journey, so make it work for you!

→ Data points (What are the facts?)

→ Discoveries (What are the insights?)

→ Actions (What are the changes to make?)

STEP 3️⃣: Next, complete the information in free form text in Part 2, including Grateful For, Proud Of, Gave or Took Energy, and Lessons Learned.

STEP 4️⃣: Calculate what an hour of your time was worth in Part 3:

→ Log into your HR system (i.e. Ultipro)

→ Divide your total annual compensation by the total hours worked

→ This will give you a gross hourly rate

Below is my completed 2021 Annual Review and 2022 Annual Plan to give you an idea of how this works.

❤️ Health

I view health as my #1 asset that allows me to exert maximum effort and focus towards success and satisfaction.

⚙️ Productivity

As a knowledge worker that sits down in front of a computer every workday, my productivity is the easiest domain for me to measure - both my inputs and outcomes. This will have a direct correlation on success and leaving each workday feeling satisfied.
